About Linda Jane James

Linda Jane James was born in a farmhouse in Suffolk. After living for many years in East Anglia, she was a late starter to teaching, and worked in Essex schools util her retirement.

She is the daughter of the late Alec Garrard, the man renowned for building a model of Herod’s Temple in a barn. A lifelong love of history and reading has lead to an investigation of her earlier years, and the work of her father.
